Adjusting your level of insurance cover with life’s big events is simple with QIEC Super. Whether it’s getting married, having a child, buying a home, or just reaching certain milestone birthdays, you can quickly access an extra unit of Death and TPD cover without the need to provide evidence of health.1
This option is available for the following key life events:
- Birth or adoption of a child
- New mortgage
- Death of your spouse
- First becoming eligible for a Department of Human Services carer’s allowance
- Reaching a milestone birthday of 30, 40 or 50
- Your child’s first day at primary or secondary school.
In addition to the above key life events, QIEC Super also offers a loyalty bonus of an additional unit of Death and TPD insurance cover to reward members who have been a member of the Fund for 10 continuous years.
To apply for the additional unit, simply complete the Key Life Events Form within 120 days of your 10 year anniversary with the Fund. The Rewarding Loyalty option can only be taken up once throughout the term of your cover, and you must not have taken advantage of the extra cover available at key life events in the last 12 months.
